Lakers Heating Up, Three Game W-Streak

After losses to Northfield and Rosemount followed by a well played 7-6 loss to a highly respected Austin Greyhounds squad, The Faribault Lakers have responded in proper fashion with a three game winning-streak. The Lakers defeated the Wanamingo Jacks 11-1, Waseca Braves 8-5, and The Albert Lea Colonels 7-5.

The three game streak brings the Lakers to 6-12-1 overall, heading into a matchup with a strong league contender on Wednesday vs. Austin Blue Sox at Marcussen Park in Austin. "Six of the next seven games are league opponents," said Lakers Manager Rick Rost, emphasizing the importance of picking up as many of these games as possible.

On Friday, the Lakers return to the area with a game at Sechler Park in Northfield vs. the Knights.

Note: Schedule Update

Please note on the schedule that the PPD game vs. Albert Lea Colonels has been rescheduled for Mon. July 21st at 7:30 at Hayek Field in Albert Lea.
